What changes the price

Nobody should have to guess why one quote is £700 and another is £2,000. These are the six variables that matter.

  • Distance and destination — Costa del Sol, Madrid and Barcelona sit at different distances from the Channel crossing.
  • Number of pets — additional pets travel at 25% off on shared trips.
  • Size and crate requirements — very large dogs can need a larger vehicle slot.
  • Shared or private — sharing the vehicle is what makes the shared price possible.
  • Date flexibility — peak summer and school holidays carry less availability.
  • Additional stops — extra collection or delivery addresses along the route.

What is included in our price

  • Door-to-door collection and delivery — no service station or cargo-desk handovers.
  • Climate-controlled, ventilated vehicle with welfare stops every 2–3 hours.
  • Live GPS tracking in your customer portal and photo updates at each stop.

  • A named contact at both collection and delivery, confirmed in advance.

Worked example

Two dogs travelling together from Manchester to Alicante on a shared trip: the first dog is £750, the second at 25% off is £562.50 — £1,312.50 total, door to door, both pets in climate-controlled kennels with welfare stops and live tracking included.

How payment works

A 30% deposit secures your pet's place on the trip, paid by secure Stripe payment link. On road journeys the balance is due before handover; on air transport it is due on collection. Every payment generates a receipt, and an invoice is available for your records.

UK to Spain pet transport: cost questions

How much does it cost to transport a dog from the UK to Spain?

Shared road transport starts from £750 per pet, with 25% off each additional pet. A private, exclusive door-to-door courier typically starts from £1,000. The exact price depends on your collection postcode, destination city, number and size of pets, and how flexible your dates are.

Why is a shared pet bus cheaper than a private courier?

On a shared trip, the cost of the vehicle, the Channel crossing and the driver's time is spread across several families' pets, so each pet pays a share rather than the whole journey. A private courier dedicates the entire vehicle and route to your pet, which costs more but gives you control over dates and timing.

Is the quoted price the final price?

Yes. We confirm a fixed door-to-door price in writing before you book, based on the addresses and pets you give us. Tolls, crossing costs and welfare stops are included — there is no fuel surcharge or per-stop charge added later.

How do I pay for pet transport to Spain?

A 30% deposit secures your pet's place on the trip and is paid by secure Stripe payment link. The balance is due before handover on road journeys. For air transport, the balance is due on collection.

What documents are needed to take a dog or cat to Spain?

Your pet needs a microchip implanted before the rabies vaccination, a valid rabies vaccination at least 21 days old, and an Animal Health Certificate issued by an Official Veterinarian no more than 10 days before arrival in Spain. Tapeworm treatment is not required for Spain, but is required for return to the UK.

Do you transport pets back from Spain to the UK?

Yes. We carry pets in both directions, including scheduled returns from Spain and Portugal to the UK.
